J&K Bank Thursday elevated three of its Presidents tothe position of Executive Presidents.

The promotion orders to this effect were issued during theboard meeting held on April 15. The newly promoted Executive Presidents areArunGandotra, GhulamNabiTeli and Sunil Gupta. All the three officers haveserved the bank for almost three decades including at key management positionsand are quite well-suited to the newly assigned roles, said a statement. Commentingon the promotions, the Bank’s CMD said, “Despite being in line with the Bank’sroutine succession planning, these elevations assume further significance amidthe COVID19 crisis wherein an added momentum is required at the leadershiplevel to not only manage the emergency within the Bank but to ensureuninterrupted banking services to the people of J&K, Ladakh and beyond.”

He said the process shall be continued in all other cadresalso after successfully coming out of the Covid19 pandemic. “I believe thepromoted executives shall also lead the Bank’s efforts aimed at buttressing thegovernment-led processes to manage and help resolve the crisis situationrelated to banking and financial needs of the people,” he said. “The elevatedofficers would carry on the knowledge and wealth of experience to their newpositions and shall help in steering the institutional ship well amid the roughwaters.”
